Are the product ingredients all natural?
The products are a mix of natural and synthetic ingredients using the best of both worlds. For example, hyaluronic acid, in the natural form, is taken from the combs of roosters. The form which our bodies are able to use the most effectively is the synthetic version, sodium hyaluronate, so that is what is used in our products. The active treatment ingredients, that stimulate tissue regeneration, are man-made synthetics. There are no natural versions of these ingredients available. The peptides, which are a relatively new technology in the last few years, stimulate the cellular activity in our tissues, but they have been produced in a laboratory environment in controlled lab conditions.
Why is the Lips2Kiss ® System preferred for achieving lip fullness and plumpness?
Many of the current lip plumping products on the market rely mainly on ingredients which irritate the lips and make your lips look bigger, and cause your lips to swell temporarily. They do not repair and rebuild the tissue, nor assist in stimulating the production of collagen and elastin in your lips, nor hold moisture within the tissues as the Lips2Kiss ® will help you get system does. They simply mask the damage and appearance of dehydrated and aging lip tissue by creating a short term plumping effect. They contribute nothing to overall lip health, and some products could even exacerbate stressed lip tissue, making the problem worse. The Lips2Kiss ® system does not include sensitizing ingredients that will damage the living lip tissues, nor contribute to rapid lip aging. How long will each kit last?
During the beautiful lips rejuvenation/repair process, each lip product should be applied to your lips roughly every 20 to 30 minutes throughout the day as possible. Used in this manner, one kit will last 4 to 6 weeks. For best results, expect to use one kit every 4 weeks for at least the first 2 to 3 months. Once the initial system is purchased, there are only 3 products which will be needed on a regular basis to keep your lips beautiful.
How soon will I see results on my Lips?
Results rate will be related to your individual lip condition, and how faithful you are to the program. It's not unusual to notice some beautiful lips condition improvement within the first two weeks. After 30 days, most clients notice some improvement in lip appearance; however, your lips will continue to improve for several months beyond this point. It is recommended you take close-up pictures of lips free of any cosmetics or coatings before starting the system, then at every 30 day intervals, to help document your improvement rate. You are asked to send a before picture of your bare lips, not smiling, while you await delivery of your products. A lip photo journal will be started, and the personal and individualized attention you receive will ensure your beautiful lips results in the quickest time possible.
Why must I initially apply product regularly?
My lips still feel moist. Healthy human skin takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes to absorb moisture and ingredients, from the surface, down into inner tissue layers. The lips are no different. Once any product is absorbed completely you will need to apply more, to provide continuous treatment and concentrated moisture. You are repairing years of accumulated damage in a very short timeframe. This process takes intensive treatment. Typical lip balms and glosses, moisturizing sticks whether colored or clear, and lotions, creams and butters, contain waxes, wax derivatives, petroleum or other barrier ingredients that helps seal moisture into, but also to an extent out of the lip surface. This is not a perfect seal of course, but it does slow moisture loss, and changes the lips feel on the surface.
After the nutritive portion of the product is fully absorbed, this ”seal“ leaves a soft smooth waxy coating on the lip surface. But this is not adding any additional moisture or nutrients to the lips at this point, and can actually prevent moisture from effectively penetrating the deeper lip tissues. That’s what a moisturizer is formulated to do. Seal in the water within the tissues so it does not evaporate as quickly. However after moisture does evaporate, you cannot judge dryness by surface touch, because of the deceptive feel of the wax coating.
Long-term use of these types of products can be a contributor to chronic lip dehydration and poor health, because you are unable to ”tell“ by feel that lips are actually dehydrated, and in urgent need of moisture. Unhealthy lips are unable to regulate their own moisture balance correctly, and lose moisture rapidly from the deeper layers. Applying additional balm or coating products to the surface will exacerbate this cycle, because the barrier from previous layers, slows the absorption of moisture to your lips from repeated product coats, leaving lips in a state of continual dehydration. The Lips2Kiss® products do not contain waxes or impermeable barrier ingredients. Once the active portion of the product has completely absorbed, the lip begins to dry and needs a fresh coat of lubrication, nutrients and moisture. The lip tissue is not yet functioning optimally, so it is still in need of intense hydration and nutritional ”feeding“ during the entire rejuvenation process. This concentrated treatment course allows you to receive the most benefit from your system at the quickest rate possible, producing remarkable results.
Because of the natural lipid ingredients in the Lips2Kiss ® system, you may feel a light slick layer on the lips surface, even after the product has absorbed completely. This is only residual product on the tissue surface. This is not indicative of the amount of moisture in lower tissue layers. As the lips begin to repair themselves, damaged tissue is restored and rejuvenated and tissues reach the point where they are better able to regulate their moisture holding capacity for a longer timeframe. At this point you will find you can apply product less often and still have beneficial results. This allows you to slowly stretch out your application intervals during day applications. Continued use of the Lips2Kiss line, will help maintain optimal lip health, help prevent the negative appearance of lip aging and allow you to maintain youthful lips at any biological age.
Why am I peeling? Does this product contain an acid or irritant to make lips peel?
As new cells begin to proliferate as a result of using Lips2Kiss ® products, it is common to experience some visable peeling. This is a normal and temporary condition. There are no irritants or acidic ingredients in our products to artifically force a peeling effect. Any skin shed is a direct result of the lip tissues conversion of the concentrated treatment ingredients into a tissue rejuvenation process. Every hour, of everyday, we normally slough off or shed 600,000 dead skin cells from the surface skin layer, the epidermis. Though the lips exfoliate at a different rate, they also take part in this same process. This is what creates the largest portion of household dust and dander in your home. This is a normal part of the body"s cellular renewel system, and part of what maintains healthy flexible plump skin. Usually this process is done at a slow steady rate, and not visable or easily felt by us.
The treatment activities in the Lips2Kiss ® system enhance the cell rebuilding process, which also effects the normal exfoliation rate.To rejuvenate lips, we cannot make old cells young, we have to birth new cells. When that starts to occur, the old aging cells must move out of the way to make room for the new tissues. The only way to get rid of them is up and out through the lip surface. Because the treatment activities are enhancing and increasing cellular growth and division, this will also cause a tempory increase in ones normal exfoliation rate. As lip support layers and foundational structures completely regrow and rejuvenate, lips adjust to this increased grow rate, and peeling subsides. If someone isn't using the system and has visable peeling and dryness, it means an entirely different thing, and generally is a symptom of an unhealthy lip enviroment, in relation to dryness or irritation. Healthy lips are moist, soft and supple all the time without dryness or irritation.
How much peeling is normal?
There is no right or wrong or even a standard normal, when it comes to peeling. It may begin in a day or two. It may take 30 to 90 days, or sometimes a few months. There are clients who don’t peel at all. No two people will have the exact same history of what they have applied to their lips and the condition their lip tissues are currently in. It is normal for mild and occasional peeling to occur throughout the healing stages of lip rejuvenation. Neither you nor I can control this process as it is up to your lip tissues, and the needs of your body . What we can control is how much product we give the lips to work with.

I've just started the system and my lips feel dry. Is the system making them dry?
As the beautiful lips rejuvenation process begins, you may find yourself saying, ”my lips are so dry!“ Your lips feel dry because they ARE dry; in fact they are severely dehydrated. A film of wax and emollients are no longer sitting on your lip surface camouflaging their true condition. Before using the LipCare System, if you used lipstick, glosses, balms, or even wax sticks with alot of emollients, you may have thought, and believed, that these products were conditioning and moisturizing your lips, because they felt so creamy and slick. In actuality you were inadvertently contributing to the damage and dryness you are now experiencing in your lips.
Your Lips2Kiss ® products will not make your lips dry or contribute to chronic dehydration. Each product, when applied to your lip surface, are all uniquely formulated to absorb quickly and deeply into the living tissue layers, rather than sitting on the tissue surface leaving an artificial creamy shiny ”top coat“ layer. They do not create an impermeable coating on outer tissues. Standard cosmetic lip colorants are created to remain stationary on the lip surface for as long as possible, to provide continual shine, and color for long periods of time. By their nature, they are not created to absorb deeply into the tissues, but rather to provide a cosmetic enhancement to the appearance of the lip surface. Part of this effect is as a ”sealer“ product. Much like a Clear Coat finish will enhance the appearance of the paint finish on a new car.
This finish provides the artificial ”appearance“ of shine and depth to a factory paint job. And comparable to the way a protective clear coat finish protects car paint from the penetration of environmental elements and moisture; cosmetic coatings can also hamper and prevent the optimal exchange of moisture into deeper lip tissues. These same cosmetics can also be responsible for dehydration in your living lip tissues, hampering the lips natural moisture regulation system.
Your Lips2Kiss ® products are finally, hydrating your lip tissues properly, which have been moisture starved for years. They are being supplied with an abundance of the missing components needed to build and maintain healthy youthful tissues. You have numerous layers of living lip tissue, much like the thousands of minute stacking micro fine layers that build up an onion skin. Each area is dependant on the treatment ingredients being applied to the lip surface. But because of the numbers of layers of living tissues involved, variants in lip density, overall cellular health, and absorption ability, product does not equally distribute to every area of the lips with each single application. With every separate treatment application, product penetration will only benefit select tissue areas.
Your lips need a tremendous amount of product, to permeate all tissue layers; this will then trigger the initial cell proliferation process. With the 9 technologies that are in the system's 4 products collectively, their "mission" if you will is to get new cells to develop and flourish. The living tissues need so much ”product“ before they can do this. It varies with each individual because of what each one has done in the past and how badly dehydrated their lip tissues are. In response to application of the actives in your Lips2Kiss ® products, your lip tissues will begin the repair process where new cells develop at an advanced rate, your tissues are restructured, and remap themselves. This begins to restore them to a young healthy state (we can't make our old cells young, we have to produce new cells) and then rejuvenation occurs. As lips repair, and renew themselves, their ability to absorb product and maintain moisture is improved.
The Lips2Kiss ® products not only are the catalyst that starts this cell proliferation process, they also provide the optimal environment for those new cells to function and flourish. If you have lines and wrinkles above or around your lips, this is an indication that your underlying tissues are in an extreme state of dehydration and malnourishment. The more lines, the deeper they are, the more severe the underlying damage. Complete repair will simply take time. New healthy tissue takes time to restructure and restore. It is never an overnight process. Consistency is the Key Continue to give your lip tissues sufficient product consistently. That is the key. So whether ”your being consistent“ means once every hour, or 2 or 3 times an hour, just continue to follow your established pattern of when you apply your products, because your lip tissues are going to depend on that product being consistent, according to the schedule you have set. If for some reason you cannot apply the product as you normally have done, and the building tissues go for a much longer time than normal, your lip tissues are going to react as if they are deprived again (as they were for years).
The result will be surface dehydration as every bit of moisture available, is wicked from the lips surface and drawn into the deeper tissue layers. Remember these are live tissues we are dealing with, not some inanimate objects. How permanent are the results?
When you have rejuvenated your beautiful lips fully, the barrier repair process function of your lip tissues will be strong and stable, and will protect all the new collagen and elastin from free radical stress as well as environmental irritants. Optimal barrier function will help maintain the natural moisture balance in your lip tissues that you have built up. Everyday, your lips are subjected to the outside environment of sun, wind, cold, and pollutants as well as dehydrating indoor heating or air conditioning. Every day, all cells in your body need water to function. Every day your lip tissues need hydration.
During your lip rejuvenation process, we are working right within the cellular matrix of your lip tissues and we are repairing, restructuring, restoring and rejuvenating living tissue. Everything that is alive needs maintenance. If it is neglected, natural laws dictate that it will revert back to a weakened less healthy state. Once your lips have been rejuvenated, if you smother them again with wax products or anything that does not hydrate them, or hampers their ability to absorb needed moisture from the surrounding environment, they will pull the hydration they need from the moisture you have built up within the deeper tissues. This will lead to surface tissue dehydration, which started the lip collapse process.
How will I know when my lips are completely rejuvenated?
Beautiful Lips Rejuvenation is complete when your lip surface is completely smooth, free of vertical lines. Your upper lip line and cupid's bow are beautifully defined, smooth, and free of any puckering. Your lips are symetrical. Your natural lip color is vibrant. All lines above and around your lips have been eliminated. Lines and wrinkles above and around lips and a healing stage of lip rejuvenation When lines and wrinkles are present above or around your lips, a temporary healing stage of lip rejuvenation occurs. Your lip tissues current state of dehydration is the determining factor in whether this will occur, and just how long temporary can be. The more damaged and dehydrated your lip tissues are when you begin lip rejuvenation, the more likely this is to occur and the longer this period will last. During this specific stage, your lip tissues have begun to be repaired and restructured. Preexisting lines above or below your lips will appear more prominent, as moisture is retained within your lip surface tissues. This moisture build-up increases the fullness of your beautiful lips.
This is easily recognized when we compare your 30 day lip photo to your before lip photo. Let me explain: As the tissues beneath your lips begin to shrink and atrophy from extreme and prolonged dehydration, this causes a ”drawstring effect“ as I have termed it, because it pulls the tissue downward to which it is attached, namely the tissues beneath and around your lips. This is manifested in one or all three of the following signs: 1) Vertical lines on your lip surface 2) Puckering/drawstring effect of tiny vertical lines along your lip borders, usually your vermillion border/upper lip line. These will, if they haven't already, cross over the lip borders onto the tissue 3) Random vertical and sometimes not so vertical lines that are either above and or below your beautiful lips.
These lines, in the very beginning, can and often do appear as "indentations" in the tissue. To repair, restructure, restore and rejuvenate the lip tissues, they must be intensely and consistently nourished and hydrated for a dedicated period of time. Given the lip tissues extreme state of dehydration, what occurs to a dry sponge when immersed in water, is what happens to your lip tissues when they receive Lips 2 Kiss ® products. The sponge will increase in size from the moisture/water it is holding; likewise, your lips increase in fullness from the moisture/hydration being held in your lip tissues. This increase could be very slight or it could be significant, but either way, it means the tissues around your lips, which are already being pulled from beneath, must stretch to accomdate the added fullness and this extra pulling will make the lines more prominent.
From a fortuitous occurence at the end of 2008, it became overwhelmingly apparent, that if the Upper Lip Line Eliminator and the Line Eliminator could be delivered to the damaged and dehyrated tissues under the lines above and below the lips at the same time lip rejuvenation begins, this healing stage of lip rejuvenation could be shortened, and even circumvented all together, as visible results manifested dramatically sooner and much more significantly.
As you begin lip rejuvenation, look closely in a magnifying mirror if necessary, and determine if any of the signs of the "drawstring effect" as outlined in the above 3rd paragraph have or are manifesting. Is the Blow dry step necessary?
For optimal results, the 90 second blow dry step is strongly recommended. This helps to enhance penetration of the active ingredients to the deeper tissue layers where they can benefit the lips efficiently. When used correctly this is not harmful to the lips or surrounding skin and is considered a valid method of enabling enhanced product penetration.
Can I wear my own lipsticks?
During the lip rejuvenation process it is not recommended that you use any products on your lips except those that are part of the Lips2Kiss ® line. Using products that are responsible for the current condition of your lips will merely impede our progress. As explained above, we are dealing with live tissue which must be repaired and restored in order to accomplish lip rejuvenation. After being on the system 1 week, you have several color choices including the colored night glazes (CNGs) and the colored Time 2 Heal (T2H) for daytime use. If you must wear more color in order to stay the course from the beginning, you can wear the Lips2Kiss ® penetrable colors which still allow hydration into your deeper lip tissue layers.
